Delegate Report-Backs Start Sunday Afternoon, July 12th

 In Delegate's Corner

Good Day Area 92,

Last month, a brief preliminary report was provided on the first-ever Virtual General Service Conference (GSC).   During the ensuing several weeks, 93 Delegates from across the US and Canada have been assembling the myriad of reports and presentations received from Directors, Trustees, Delegates, Primary and Secondary Committees and GSO Staff, coupled with notes and materials generated during the GSC, into presentations (Delegate Report-Backs) that are digestible over a 2 to 3 hour period.

Our presentation objectives are clearly and boldly stated in the Service Manual on page S54.  To share “What I Saw, Heard and Felt”.   Accordingly, each of us tries to capture and include some of the more significant topics and activities, in a condensed yet understandable form (down from several hundred pages).   Further, in Area 92 we pursue a tradition of encouraging a “dialog” with attendees – ensuring that comments can be expressed and questions can be asked.   In order to allow for a reasonable level of attendee participation, we typically conduct multiple Report-Backs, with a few districts at a time.    In light of continued COVID 19 realities, the Report-Backs will be conducted virtually for the time being.

Each DCM has been contacted by Ben N., our Alternate Delegate, to select a date and time for their respective district over the next couple of months.  The first Report-Back is set for this coming Sunday afternoon, July 12th at 1:30.   Please contact your DCM to learn when your district is scheduled and to obtain Zoom sign-on information.   Importantly, please note that we are flexible, and if you can not make the day scheduled for your district, you will be accommodated on another date.    Your group and district benefit when you attend!

We are looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible.

Gary P.

Panel 70 Delegate – Area 92
